Bass Club Rules2008 Tournament Rules 1. Number of tournaments will be nine (9). 2. The six (6) best tournaments will count toward year end rewards. 3. There will be no paper tournaments. All tournaments will be weigh- in according to lake and state regulations. For example: 15’’ limits on Pickwick for small and large mouth and 12’’ limits on spotted bass. Slot limits will be observed as it has in the past. 4. There will be a five (5) fish limit per person for points. Once the individual point fish have been weighed, the team will pick their five (5) largest fish caught by the team in that boat for the money payback. 5. All tournaments will be money tournaments and point tournaments combined. The money participation is optional. We seem to have had the best member participation in the past under this format. 6. Entry fee is $80.00 “Cash” per boat for the heaviest weight and $20.00 “CASH” per boat for big bass. How the team divides the money is their business. 7. Participants will be allowed to trailer to alternate ramps on the chosen lake (must be navigable waters). This will save fuel, help during in climate weather, and possibly give us more time to fish than running. 8. After you have checked in with the Tournament Director you are free to launch and fish. If you are late that is ok, call me (901-331-6022) and I will let you fish and let you know where to find me on the lake for check –in. Weigh in will be announced in the News Letter and at the RAMP the day of the tournament. YOU MUST CHECK IN ON TIME OR YOUR FISH WILL NOT COUNT. 9. Tournaments will be a PICK YOUR PARTNER format. I will do my best to pair you with someone if you have a problem finding someone on your own. You have the same member roster as myself. Please do not wait 24 hours before the Tournament to call. I realize that some one will show without a partner and the Tournament Director will use his discretion at this time. 10. It is up to you and your partner to divide the expense fairly. 11. Points will be awarded in the same format as last year. A member’s five (5) largest fish will be weighed for individual points, then the five (5) largest fish from the team will be weighed for the money. There will be no points awarded for club participation. 12. Dead Fish – An eight ounce (8 OZ) penalty will be imposed for every dead fish presented at the weigh in. Please do your part in keeping your live wells operational and environmentally safe to store your catch. 13. Short Fish – If a fisherman presents a short fish at the weigh in, the short fish will be disqualified and there will be a one (1) pound penalty impose. 14. During the year, if we happen to have all NO – BOATERS with a partner and we still have a BOATER with out a partner, the Bass Club Member will be allowed to invite and fish with a non-member for ONE (1) TOURNAMENT ONLY. This may bring new members into the club. 15. Money will be awarded in a 1st PLACE and 2nd PLACE format, according to how many boats participate. The more boats we have, the more places that will be paid back. Six boats and over will pay three (3) places. TOURNAMENT PAY OUTS 1 thru 5 Boats 1st Place = 60% 2nd Place = 40% 6 Boats & Over 1st Place = 50% 2nd Place = 30% 3rd Place = 20% 16. If two (2) Boaters arrive at the ramp without no-boaters and want to fish, a coin will be tossed and the winner will choose BOAT or NO BOAT. They will fish together or not at all. 17. Safety - All boats must possess the required safety equipment. Kill switches must be attached and life jackets must be worn when the outboard motor is running. 18. Rulings by the Tournament Director will be final.
